Legislation enacted in 2000 (Public Law 106-554 [40 U.S.C. 187a]) provides that "Any state may request the Joint Committee on the Library of Congress to approve the replacement of a statue the State has provided for display in Statuary Hall in the Capitol of the United States . . . ."

- Thomas Starr King. Bronze by Haig Patigian. Given in 1931; to be replaced in 2009 by statue of Ronald Wilson Reagan.
- Kansas
- George Washington Glick. Marble by Charles H. Niehaus. Given in 1914; replaced in 2003 by statue of Dwight D. Eisenhower.
