The 16,500 square foot exhibition gallery is split into several sections. In the center is a large, three-dimensional touch model of the Dome. The tan band running the length of the gallery is a zone of original documents and artifacts. At the top of the floor plan, on the left and right, are the House and Senate Theaters. At the top center, a niche for the Lincoln Catafalque provides a new home for this historic artifact: the bier on which President Lincoln’s casket laid.
