The U.S. Botanic Garden [1] is dedicated to demonstrating the aesthetic, cultural, economic, therapeutic and ecological importance of plants to the well-being of humankind. The USBG fosters the exchange of ideas and information relevant to national and international partnerships.
Led by Executive Director Holly Shimizu [2], a team of approximately 65 employees work at the U.S. Botanic Garden in four divisions: Administration, Public Programs, Horticulture and Operations. For a list of contact information at the USBG visit: http://www.usbg.gov/staff-directory [3].
The Garden is also supported by a dedicated team of volunteers. Please contact Volunteer Coordinator Maura Nelson [4] with any questions about this program, or visit http://www.usbg.gov/working-us-botanic-garden [5] for a list of current volunteer opportunities.
