Meet at the entrance to Exhibition Hall on the lower level of the Capitol Visitor Center on Tuesday, April 16 at 1 p.m. for a 15-minute program about Philip Reid, an enslaved laborer who helped cast the Statue of Freedom that stands atop the U.S. Capitol Dome.
Work is underway to provide the United States Senate Subway Tunnel with automatic fire sprinkler protection through the installation of 6,800 linear feet of sprinkler piping and 258 sprinkler heads between all Senate Subway stations.
