Olmsted Fountains Cleaning

Olmsted Fountain

For the first time on the Capitol campus, a laser cleaning technique will be used to treat the historic bronze. The Olmsted Fountains basins on the East Front Plaza will be cleaned this spring using the same technique that was recently used to clean heavily soiled stone at the Supreme Court with equipment that is similar to lasers used for cosmetic skin treatments.
