For the seventh consecutive year, the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) received the Association of Government Accountants' prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Accountability Reporting (CEAR) for its Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 Performance and Accountability Report (PAR).

The AOC also received a special award in the category of “Best Executive Summary." This award recognized the AOC's PAR as the best government-wide example of a report containing a succinct, reader-friendly and impactful description of our agency's achievements.

These awards speak highly of the teamwork and professionalism of AOC employees.

The CEAR is the highest form of recognition in federal government financial reporting. It recognizes federal organizations for producing informative, high-quality reports that provide clear insight into their agency's spending and program performance.

For FY 2017, 22 federal agencies and departments were honored with a CEAR award and just 13 federal agencies were further recognized with a special Best-in-Class award. The receipt of two awards places the AOC in a select group within the government financial management community.

We encourage everyone to read the report and learn more about the agency and its FY 2017 accomplishments. To access the PAR online, please visit www.aoc.gov/par.
