The Art Collection

The National Statuary Hall Collection is comprised of statues donated by individual states to honor persons notable in their history.

This statue of Alexander Hamilton Stephens was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Georgia in 1927. Stephens was a dedicated statesman, an effective leader and a powerful orator.

This statue of Andrew Jackson was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Tennessee in 1928.

This statue of Barry Goldwater was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Arizona in 2015. Goldwater's statue replaced one of John Campbell Greenway, which the state of Arizona donated to the National Statuary Hall Collection in 1930.

This statue of Brigham Young was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Utah in 1950. Young was the first governor of the Utah Territory and a religious leader.

This statue of Caesar Rodney was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Delaware in 1934.

This statue of Charles Brantley Aycock was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by North Carolina in 1932.

This statue of Charles Carroll was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Maryland in 1903. Carroll was a statesman and signer of the Declaration of Independence.

This statue of Charles Marion Russell was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Montana in 1959.

This statue of Chief Standing Bear was given to the U.S. Capitol's National Statuary Hall Collection by Nebraska in 2019. Standing Bear's statue replaced one of William Jennings Bryan, which the state donated to the Collection in 1937.

This statue of Chief Washakie was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Wyoming in 2000. Washakie's prowess in battle, his efforts for peace and his commitment to his people's welfare made him one of the most respected leaders in Native American history.

This statue of Crawford W. Long was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Georgia in 1926.

This statue of Daniel Webster was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by New Hampshire in 1894.

This statue of Dennis Chavez was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by New Mexico in 1966.

This statue of Dr. Norman E. Borlaug was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Iowa in 2014. Borlaug's statue replaced a statue of James Harlan, which Iowa had donated in 1910.

This statue of Dwight Eisenhower was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Kansas in 2003. His statue replaced that of George W. Glick and marked the first time that a state had replaced one of its statues.

This statue of Edmund Kirby Smith was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Florida in 1922. He was an army officer and an educator.

This statue of Edward Douglass White was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Louisiana in 1955. White served in the U.S. Senate and on the Supreme Court.

This statue of Edward Lewis Bartlett was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Alaska in 1971. Bartlett served as Alaska's first senator after the state's admission to the union in 1959.

This statue of Ephraim McDowell was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Kentucky in 1929.

This statue of Ernest Gruening was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Alaska in 1977. Gruening served as governor of Alaska and as a U.S. Senator.

This statue of Esther Hobart Morris was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Wyoming in 1960. Morris is honored as a pioneer for women's suffrage.

This statue of Ethan Allen was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Vermont in 1876. He is best remembered as the Founder of the State of Vermont.

This statue of Eusebio Kino was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Arizona in 1965.
