Amelia Earhart Statue

Amelia Mary Earhart (1897-c.1937) was a record-setting aviator, an author, and a businesswoman. This statue was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Kansas in 2022. Sculptors Mark and George Lundeen are brothers; they also sculpted the statue of John L. "Jack" Swigert.

Apotheosis of Washington

Painted in 1865 by Constantino Brumidi, the Apotheosis of Washington in the eye of the U.S. Capitol Building's Rotunda depicts George Washington rising to the heavens in glory.

Baptism of Pocahontas

This painting depicts the ceremony in which Pocahontas, daughter of the influential Algonkian chief Powhatan, was baptized and given the name Rebecca in an Anglican church.

Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune

Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune (1875-1955) was an educator, civil rights activist, and presidential advisor. This statue was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Florida in 2022. Nilda Comas is the first artist of Puerto Rican descent commissioned to sculpt a statue for the National Statuary Hall Collection.

Esther Hobart Morris Statue

This statue of Esther Hobart Morris was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Wyoming in 1960. Morris is honored as a pioneer for women's suffrage.

Florence R. Sabin Statue

This statue of Florence Sabin was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Colorado in 1959.

Frances E. Willard Statue

This statue of Frances Willard was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Illinois in 1905. Her statue was the first honoring a woman to be chosen for the collection.

Helen Keller Statue

This statue of Helen Keller was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Alabama in 2009. Keller's statue replaced a statue of Jabez Lamar Monroe Curry, which Alabama had donated in 1908.

Jeannette Rankin Statue

This statue of Jeannette Rankin was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Montana in 1985. She was the first woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Maria Sanford Statue

This statue of Maria Sanford was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Minnesota in 1958.

Mother Joseph Statue

This statue of Mother Joseph was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection by Washington in 1980.
