The Office of the Chief Security Officer (OSCO) is responsible for the maintenance, care and operation of the buildings, grounds and security enhancements of the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) and other facilities.
It provides centralized security and resilience operations for the Capitol campus, manages the Architect of the Capitol's (AOC) internal security programs and perimeter security, coordinates interagency emergency preparedness and supports the USCP in protecting, policing and providing security for the congressional community and its visitors.
