The Capitol Police Buildings, Grounds and Security jurisdiction is managed by the Office of Security Programs (OSP). It is responsible for the maintenance, care and operation of the buildings, grounds and security enhancements of the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) and related facilities.

OSP also provides centralized security operations for the U.S. Capitol, manages the Architect of the Capitol's internal security programs and perimeter security kiosks, coordinates interagency emergency preparedness and supports the USCP in protecting, policing and providing security for the congressional community and its visitors.
