Vehicle charging in U.S. House of Representatives garages or on surface lots, in accordance with Public Law 112-170, is now available.
A quick guide to register and get charging:
- Check with your office's Parking Coordinator to obtain an available parking permit if you do not currently have a parking assignment. (This is available on your office parking roster.)
- Register your electric vehicle on this Pay.gov form.
- Email [email protected] and the House Parking Office when Pay.gov and Electric Vehicle Registration Form are complete.
- House Parking will work with the House Sustainability to provide access to a charging station in your parking area.
A monthly fee of $27 consists of two cost components: 1) the cost of power and 2) capital construction recapitalization and provides for a full-day charge using the existing 110V outlets.
Registered users will be required to provide their own power cord and plug.
