Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic in the esteemed Architect of the Capitol, Library Buildings and Grounds, Facilities Support Division, Fort Meade Operations and Maintenance Branch. You'll perform general operations, maintenance, and repair of Building Automation & HVAC Systems. Work may include, but is not limited to the maintenance, repair and installation of commercial/industrial air conditioning and heating systems, plumbing systems, fire sprinkler systems, and electrical systems.

The Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings, Maintenance Branch is seeking an Insulator Pipe Coverer who serves as a journey-level Insulator responsible for the installation, demolition, maintenance and repair of insulating materials on piping, HVAC and equipment systems throughout the Architect of the Capitol campus.

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Superintendent Capitol Building, Assistant Facilities Support Division, Labor Branch. The selected candidate operates motor vehicles to include driving a box truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight(GVW) of 19,500 pounds and performs laborer duties in support of the Capitol Building operations. A CDL is not required.

The position is responsible for assigning, directing and reviewing the work of subordinates and evaluating work performance; planning, scheduling and coordinating work operations; and solving problems related to the work performed by the unit. The incumbent also performs nonsupervisory tasks in support of the mission.

The incumbent is a Sheet Metal Mechanic Supervisor with full supervisory responsibility for control over work operations and subordinates and is responsible to superiors for the quality and quantity of work performed.

The Supervisory Horticulturist primary purpose of the position is to provide leadership and long-term planning for the Gardening Division, including planning and managing long term human capital, budget, customer experience, curatorial and other critical processes.

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), House Office Buildings, Electricial Branch. The incumbent performs journey-level Electrician duties operation and installation of a variety of electrical and adjunctive electronic systems and equipment. This requires a 6 day a week schedule, and overtime may be required and in some instances it may be mandatory.

The House Office Buildings seeks temporary Decorative Plasterers for the upcoming 120th Congressional Moves Transition. This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), House Office Buildings, Painting Branch. Decorative plasterers will serve as journey level Plasterers and perform standard painting tasks when necessary. This requires a 6 day a week schedule, and overtime may be required and in some instances it may be mandatory.

Located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), House Office Buildings and Senate Office Buildings, Wood Crafting/Carpentry Branch. The AOC seeks temporary wood crafters for the upcoming 120th Congressional Moves Transition. Since office moves are scheduled 6 days a week, overtime may be required and will be mandatory. Seeking applicants with journey-level wood crafting and/or carpentry skills.

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), House Office Buildings and Senate Office Buildings, Painting Branch. The AOC seeks temporary Painters for the upcoming 120th Congressional Moves Transition. Painters will use standard methods and special finishing techniques to perform coating work on furnishings and buildings. This requires a 6 day a week schedule, and overtime may be required and in some instances it may be mandatory.

Located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), House Office Buildings and Senate Office Buildings, Day or Night Labor Branch. The AOC seeks temporary Laborer (Recycler's) for the upcoming 120th Congressional Moves Transition. This position will be used to fill Day and Night shifts. Since office moves are scheduled 6 days a week, overtime may be required and will be mandatory. The Laborer (Recycler)'s will perform a wide range of laborer duties in support of the 120th Congressional moves.

The Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Superintendent, Senate Office Buildings is seeking a journey level Sheet Metal Mechanic for the Assistant Superintendent Tenant Services Division, Sheet Metal Section to form, join and assemble and install sheet metal components of air conditioning, heating, ventilation, copper roofs and kitchen appliances.

This position is in the Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings, Painting Branch. Serves as a skilled journey level Painter-Refinisher and does coating work on furnishings and buildings.

The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Utilities and Power Plant Operations. This is a unique opportunity to support the mission of the AOC and serve as a Mechanical Engineer who provides professional support for Steam and Chilled Water related engineering for the Capitol Power Plant (CPP) distribution system and plant buildings.
