Performs administrative and technical supervisory functions for subordinates and ensures that all workers comply with safety and health practices.

The selectee is responsible for projects involving the study, design, construction, inspection, testing of civil systems and their associated components including drainage; stormwater; retaining structures; site utilities such as water, sanitary, electrical, gas, thermal utilities; transportation systems such as roads, pedestrian paths and transit systems; and tunnels.

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings, Client Services Division, Special Functions Unit. Serves as a Material Handler Supervisor and has full responsibility for overseeing the operations in support of the SOB. The position is responsible for assigning, directing and reviewing the work of subordinates. The incumbent also performs nonsupervisory tasks in support of the unit’s mission.
