This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center (CVC). The CVC is the public’s front door to the U.S. Capitol, offering tours and education programs as well as supporting congressional events. Our goal is to inform, involve and inspire every visitor to the U.S. Capitol. The CVC has 200 employees across five divisions: Visitor Services, Exhibits and Education, Retail, Communications and Marketing, and Planning, Operations and Evaluation.

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The incumbent serves as the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO). The position advises the CAO and the AOC Senior Leadership team on the safe, effective, trustworthy development and use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Candidates must have journey level experience in commercial or industrial projects involving carpentry and wood crafting skills. This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Capitol Grounds and Arboretum, Gardening Division. The Capitol Grounds and Arboretum is responsible for preserving and maintaining 286 acres of landscape across Capitol Hill including plantings and infrastructure. Performs gardening tasks in support of the overall efficiency and effectiveness in the maintenance of the Capitol Grounds. Displays integrity, courteous and tactful behavior at all times.

The Architect of the Capitol, Office of Safety and Code Compliance, Fire Marshal Division is seeking a reliable and detail oriented Fire Protection Engineer to review and provide recommendations for the design, construction and/or modification of fire protection systems, equipment, assemblies for buildings under the jurisdiction of the Architect of the Capitol.

The selectee will serve as a Sheet Metal Mechanic Helper performing trades helper tasks and routine shop maintenance. The Emergency Program Manager functions as an Incident Manager who is the primary focal point for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on premise or ad hoc reconstitution thereof in potentially austere environments.

The position serves as a journeyman electrician with thorough knowledge of installation, operation, and troubleshooting of sophisticated electrical and electronic circuits/equipment and standard electronic components and controls.

The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is seeking a Retail Coordinator to support the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) Retail Division. The Retail Coordinator is responsible for retail planning, merchandising, visual presentation, administrative functions, contract surveillance support, and store operational support for the CVC’s gift shops, e-commerce, and food operations.
