The care and creation of the woodwork throughout the Congress and Supreme Court is the responsibility of the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) woodcrafters.

The landmark buildings of Capitol Hill are not only known for the grandeur of their architecture. They are also working museums with many precious artifacts within, including intricate woodworking such as iconic daises, committee and member desks.

Our skilled craftspeople use techniques both modern and ancient in their work. Their jobs range from renovating historic committee hearing rooms to installing cabinetry to replacing missing door pieces.
