Very interesting article about Guastavino and his unique system used here at the AOC over 100 years ago. The restoration of the Cannon basement rotunda is wonderful. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
Things are definitely "looking up:"at Ye Olde Cannon Building thanks to an "immigrant" architectural artisan 100 years ago!
Bravo! Another immigrant success story and some very interesting restoration details. My one request: Is it possible to add one more photo to the article? I’d like to see a close-up shot of just one tile as Guastavino would have seen it. We can’t see it for ourselves while visiting the building nor can we see it in the story. What a plus this would be.
